Using Categories ?

Can we use only (sub)categories to display a list of available games ? All page in the Games category is listed on Category:Games, if we wreate categories for genres (Reflexion/Cards/Puzzle, Shoot'em up, etc.) it should do it. This way, there is no need to mantains a separate "Games listing" pages. Less work, same content. (For TV-Out supported games, a category could probably also be used).--mongolito404 05:11, 6 July 2006 (PDT)

The idea you are proposing involves editing of each game article to add the category name. Also, the extra info might be useful to some. In addition, not all games have articles, in fact, many do not and I do not have the motovation to create these articles. I'd be willing to add the subcategories to the articles if I had help, but I would still like this page to exist. --Yono 15:28, 7 July 2006 (PDT)

Many games pages already have category name in them. I think the Game category tag is in the Game Infobox template. I would also like this page to exists, but if nobody is ready to maintain it, it's useless. Another soluton, is to have a bot or something that would parse eveory pages in the Games category (or even the Software one) to automaticaly extract "metadata" and generate the page.
