nice work putting this together - that has been asked not the first time.. especially the Battle for Wesnoth Port has suffered from memory shortages. Maybe this helps to summarize. -- StarG 10:38, 13 May 2007 (PDT)

Increasing the default Linux-aware memory size from 32MB to 48MB (ie, upto 0x02FFFFFF) causes some strange crashes before any applications are launched, so it would be nice to find out the exact reason why. I can only think of memory corruption - maybe there's another DMA buffer in that area that is rarely used? Overwriting the area once the system is up and running seems fine, which is puzzling.
