Talk:Suggested Joystick Configurations
I think the three pages (SDL Joystick mapping, Common User Interface Recommendations and Suggested Joystick Configurations) do not contain any common information, so the only option would be to merge. but then that page would be very large. Perhaps add a "See Also" section to the pages to link to the other pages? --slygamer 23:07, 6 December 2005 (GMT)
regarding merging suggestion to CUI
The Suggested Joystick Configurations is very interesting, but I think it's too specificly to be merged with Common User Interface Recommendations. There is already some concerns about the CUI giving too many suggestions, and I agree it should not solve all the problems we could potentially face. However, the suggested joystick configuration page contains valuable information and maybe we can add to the CUI best practices section a generic statement about paying attention to playability. For instance:
Good Playability Having a pleasant user experience is important. The developers are encouraged to use intutive controls and testing their application for usability. Please refer to Suggested Joystick Configurations for examples.
I would think it goes without saying, though, and it could be seen as parternalistic. I'd prefer to list it with a few other links in a "Further Readings about Application Design and Usability" section.

- Paternalistic? Don't you mean patronizing? But your word is good too... (;P) (RiX0R)
Missing case?
I would suggest an alternative to Case 4 or Case 5 for menu navigation. In this case you want 4, well defined, ways. This would be Case 2 where diagonals are dead zones. --Titousensei 01:36, 7 December 2005 (GMT)
