HU6280 emulates the 16-bit NEC PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16. It is currently at beta version 1.07 and can run most games at fullspeed when the GP2x is clocked to 200mhz. Support for CD-ROM has been implemented since beta version 1.05. Vobbo, the author of HU6280 is the only person with the source code; he has not been around for roughly a year. It is unlikely that HU6280 will ever be completed.
Installation
- Download it.
- Unzip the archive to any directory on your SD card.
- Edit the configuration file (hu6280.ini) to your liking. At this step on firmwares above version 2.0 you must set the MMU hack to 'off'. Otherwise the emulator will hang.
- Place PC Engine HuCard rom images in the directory specified in hu6280.ini. The images must not be compressed (i.e. zipped).
- Run them using the main menu.
Compatability
- There is a wiki compatibility page for the PC Engine.
- Checklist also covers PC Engine.
